Ok, so I have downloaded the plugin mgcamd 1.38 from the soft cam plugin menu.
I tried downloading the mg_cfg file from this website, but I have a macbook and the download was a video file?
I have downloaded the notepad for my mac.
In theory could I just type up my own newcamd.list?
Will I still need a mg_cfg file though?

I made up my own newcamd.list on word pad from scratch using my n line, so it should work fine?
However, when I download the mg_cfg file it downloads as a "rar" file, is this normal? Or is it because I am on a macbook?
Perhaps I should try this on a windows laptop?

No thats correct mate use winrar or alike and the send your newcamd.list and mg_cfg file to usr/keys.
Go to softcam and restart mgcamd 1.38

I had to download "the Unarchiver" app off the apple store to unarchive the rar files and makes them readable.

all these years ive been using ccam 2.30 with alot of glitching first time tried mg cam thanks to you guys for the input

downloaded mgcam 1.38 from plugins menu on openvix

installed n reboot
1.softcam settings disabled ccam 2.30
2. mg cam 1.38 was GOT Error message not set up yet

this is what i did
downloaded mg.cfg and newcamd.list from dropbox thank you very much, really appricated

filezilla trasnfer to usr/keys folder

1. mg.cfg (NO NEED TO EDIT)

2. newcamd.list edited to same as my CCCam.cfg to this as a example

copied n pasted to newcamd.list

saved and trasnfered to usr/keys

enabled mg.cam and it works

Hi, I am on Vu solo2 and using openvix. Have followed these instructions but can't seem to get to work. I have mgCam 1.38 enabled, and have ftp'd both files to usr/keys but still no joy. Any suggestions? Thanks

No, it's a fairly standard format, nearly everyone uses the same file.
