just got a new blade bm5000. got picture by rca cable but not hdmi help please

It's because they come supplied without a channel list installed.

If you load the list now from blade online when you upgrade to 9991 firmware you will loose
it and have to load it again.

It's normal, just follow the tutorial here

i have flashed the 9991 firmware on and channel list updated ok. but i only can get a picture via the rca cable not hdmi cable. i know the hdmi cable is fine because it works on skybox i cannot change the aspect ratio because i have the rca cable in. how do i get picture via hdmi?

Switch on TV, Boot box with HDMI cable attached

Press the source button on your TV remote is the HDMI setting switchable ?
is the TV is picking up the HDMI cable or is the option still greyed out ?

On the blade, menu - setup - tv setup - video output (HDMI)

To be honest, mine will show a picture no matter what is selected as the video output on the blade
if the HDMI cable is attached.

Why did you change the question in your first post, my answer in post 2,
to the problem you have posted now, no longer makes any sense lol

first post i had hdmi cable in getting no picture. now i know the box is giving out a picture just not through hdmi port

Have you checked the settings as suggested in posted 4 ?

What's happening at the TV end ?

If you hook your skybox back up and
check if the HDMI source is switchable on your TV
if it is you now know it can only be a fault on your blade box.

Sounds like it's going back the shop.

Just re-flash the original / release firmware from the blade media site if it needs to be returned.

normally the tv picks up anything plugged into hdmi automatically just thought there may be a button on the remote that changes definition as the skybox remote has but i cannot see one it works ok with the av cables supplied but tv picking up nothing through the hdmi cable from the blade.gonna send it back and stick with my old trusty skybox f3
