Every trial I have had or service used has that watermark, so it's all from the same place.....same place, same rubbish.

At first I thought it was a TV Rating but after some research its not. Only the US has that watermark and it only shows for 5 seconds at the start of a TV show and looks like this: [IMG]

So its clearly not anything todo with ratings.

No, it's definitely not a rating. It's the watermark of the stream provider.

One thing I forgot to say is, I'm not doing these posts to get a reaction......Yes the obvious solution is go to Sky, I don't doubt that, so I don't need any smart arse responses like that.

I am doing these posts to prove a point.

I think must providers are thinking why should they give you a free trial for week.

I'm wondering if your expectations are just a little too high. The majority of people have been spoiled by traditional card sharing. The reality is IPTV has so many more variables involved. I think we all miss card sharing. IPTV just isn't for everyone I guess.

I generally find that logo on the UK entertainment channels, but that's what I watch the majority of the time......plus the kids channels for my daughter.....they also have that logo.

Sports, I very rarely have an issue, but I need a sub for more than just sports.

I only said the week trial to prove a point that no one reading this owns their own streams and cannot guarantee they are that good. You can't fully test a sub in 24 hrs, so you have to pay for a month to find out how bad it is 3 days later and start again.

Those that operate well probably don't need your business and therefore wouldn't dream of dishing out trials for a week.

It's unfortunate that you've been let down but equally anyone reading the thread is probably thinking "1 glitch and this guy ain't interested" so why would they waste their time?

Suppose benefit of a paid sub .you can rant @ your legit provider providing you speak the language. or using iptv
Endure the mishaps and try again with an alternative provider month later..

Its not difficult to provide a streaming service to a few hundred people. All you need is an unlimited bandwidth dedi with decent specs.

I can assure you that's it not just 1 glitch and I'm off, but when it's no one else is complaining it must be your fault or the channel is perfect I'm watching it now, it's just a sorry excuse.

Basically the real answer is, I don't know what I'm doing, I don't control the streams, I don't know what to do, so here have a crap excuse and carry on with your day.

Rather than making excuses I want a seller who actually accepts that something doesn't work and fixes it.....not just reboot your box and router, or no one else has that fault or that channel won't work cos it's the 3rd Thursday of the month.

I'm making a point here, I'm not playing the blame game.

good luck finding anyone owning their own streams wanting to come on here grubbing for £10 subs and having to deal with leagues of time wasters lol.

there's a few big wholesalers of streams. they charge 1000's per month for companies to access these streams who in turn use resellers to collect individual users.

these wholesalers have scaling price structures and the better quality streams have a premium price.

these wholesalers are at serious risk of prison time and fines that could easily run into the high £100ks. they aren't looking to deal with people looking to test a line out for a week with a view to giving them £100-150 of custom over a 12 month period. they are simply going to shift multiple £5-10k per month packages to named providers who will in turn rely on resellers to run the gauntlet of time wasters.

i've likened the no-reseller attitude to that of someone wanting to score a gram of coke demanding to meet the mexican cartel boss in person and hand him £20 to watch him personally scrape a few flakes off a tonne weight of peruvian gear. not happening ever.

these wholesalers do run into problems and honest providers will say things like 'we are in contact with our sources about the downtime'

I remember when the EPL blocks started happening, you were with one of the big providers who advertise on social media. You couldn't speak highly enough of them and were adamant they'd never get blocked and you'd never need a VPN. All the servers being hit by blocks were run by people who didn't have a clue and it was easy to get around the blocks, you said. That provider was hit by blocks, and did end up advising use of a VPN and had downtime at every big sporting event.

And now you're telling us all IPTV is rubbish. Do you really think people are so blinded by loyalty to a provider that we'll give dishonest accounts of our experiences? If IPTV was as bad as you say then there wouldn't be a section dedicated to it on this forum.

IPTV is a good idea but it will never work fully. Think of it logically. You need to capture every single channel and then send it out on a stream which is then restreamed to multiple people. Theres gonna be problems and there always will be. Unless you have a datacenter running your service its gonna be poor.

The server I subscribe to has run without a single glitch all weekend and tonight I've watched football without a single hiccup. Am I imagining that then? Or am I lying for no conceivable reason? You're saying my service is poor but it's not.

it will be soon, just you wait and when anyone claims this they will never tell anyone their provider or they will be a reseller themselves!

Why would I need to tell anyone my provider? He's from this forum, if people post on the request thread he'll message them. I had a few providers that didn't work out, and I'm not saying this service NEVER has issues but when it does you get an explanation and the issue is sorted as quickly as it can be.

Is that so hard to believe? Do you really think that as a paying customer I feel that I owe the provider blind loyalty and will exaggerate about the standard of his service? Why would I do that, to complete strangers, people I don't know and never will?

it'll never be free from snags

the companies acknowledge this tacitly by bundling multiple versions of the sport and movie channels into their package [ie the channels that people sign up to watch]

they grab these back ups from multiple sources so when one does go tits up for a night there is another [albeit cheaper and likely poorer quality] back up for their customers.

if they were confident that IPTV would be perfecto they wouldn't waste money on back up versions of their most popular channels, innit.

IPTV is a nice product, imo. i like the catch up, HD, non-UK channels. the VOD is a decent bonus i guess. HD is ******* nice on my TV and even the SD pisses on my current CS sub's SD.

for the price i am more than happy with having to rezap my E2 box once or twice during a game or big fight. and that doesnt happen often

watching on tablet or kodi box i cant remember many glitches other than when a server nukes itself their end.

Yes, this is a prime example of what I am talking about. At the time of the blocks starting, that supplier stated that no VPN would ever be needed, they promised the earth and like you say it all went tits up with them.

The point I am trying to make, is that at the minute I can't even watch any channel, let alone football without having a problem. It's at the stage where no matter what channel I try and watch it's either buffering, freezing, pixelating, video/audio out of sync, but this is on pretty much any channel constantly.

When you raise this with a supplier though all you get back is re-boot your box, re-boot your router, the channel is fine, the problem is at your end, it's your internet, it's your device.

No it isn't.....in the past couple of weeks I have been through A Formuler F1 box, An Amazon Fire TV, A Firestick, A Minix Neo U1, 3 x other generic Android boxes, A Smart TV, A tablet, 2 x laptops and a Smart Phone.....all of them had the same problem.

My ISP has been out to test my line, check for faults and errors and nothing can be found.

I have tired it on 2 x different ISP's in different locations and 2 x different mobile data providers.....no difference.

My point is, no matter who you get a trial from, these same problems exist, so clearly they all come from the same source.

I'm just trying to make a point that as a general rule, if you raise an issue with IPTV then don't expect it to be sorted, it will always be your fault.
