hi and great work. i have ftp 'd the mymod.xml file to slyk folder on my box and rebooted but the infobar and the now next later dont appear. what am imissing?? thanks for any help.

Hi guys I really like the mods to the slyly skin and was wondering can we get the play banner longer so it fills the screen ? Also can we get the spinner on the play banner instead of being static where the fast farward rewind is?

this is where i could use your help to what is the best way off doing it
or anyone help

for the ipk i have it so it will replace
the skins.xlm and extras.xml
and add the mods folder

but i want to try and do it so i can uninstall it if you want to
later i will try and work away so you can add and remove which ones you want

but the problem is when you uninstall it now you remover the skins.xlm, extras.xml and mods folder


so whats the best plan?

The only thing I can think of is to do another ipk that overwrites skin.xml.
The original skin.xml will then ignore the extra bits you've added.

Edit: Why would anyone want to remove your mods anyway?

hmm you never know with people they might

i should worry about getting it working right and instead of worrying about removing it

you could always reinstall the original skin and that should wipe the extras and skin but keep the folder

the install and remove works great

Yehh I would like to extend things to the right a bit and make it a little bit taller with bigger txt

I didn't think it was possible with the movie list but now it is extended to look like sky hd with date, channel, recorded/viewed, on latest slyk version

That will be a lot of work, I can't see you getting someone to do it.
you will need to move every element to a new place and resize them if they need resizing

this ipk has my head bugged
i cant seem to work how make it people can added and remove the mods they want with out bringing up a problem

i was thinking of doing a setup ipk
that could come with a changed skin.xml and a longlist of empty .xml files for mods

skin.xml
mod1.xml
.
.
.
mod10.xml

then you could do the mods ipk, where it would replace a .xml on the list and any files it would need

mod1.xml
pngs folder

but i keep coming back to the uninstall
if you want to remove a mod.
it will take out the .xml, causing boot problems when you restart your box or gui
