V8S Open Box Problems

need help with openbox v8s

hi a got 2 openbox v8s one is still working but the other one is not its coming you scrambled $ with this sign not had them a month i am getting a good signal and the free channels but like sky sports movies dave and other channels are coming up scrambled can any one help me ?
 
if both at same address then check if it is a multi line use subscription.
Does one work at a time if the other is switched off ?
Switch the boxes around to see if it is one connection that is the problem.
 
there not at same address ... the one it works at old mans and works fine.. a toke mine over there still the same and try his one here and his works fine ? plus and when it works it comes up with CCcam in green with this $ and ND in a we box down on the left hand side ...and when its not it comes up scrambled in the middle of the screen with a big green box and the we box with ND goes red with no CCcam in green ?

Well obviously not multi line so try a test line from forum--if that works then you need to buy a new line.

ok mate how do you do the test line this is all new to me likes ? and i have a stander sky box running off the same dish could have mucked it up as well ?
 
alright its just mad cos a got 2 from same person and the other one is still work and they was all set up and ready to go for me when a got them ... so all need to buy a new new box or code ?

I have a v8s open box and works great at my home connected to the sky dish and virgin internet ( they are all connected by the TV the router and sky cables are all close by and I use a Ethernet cable).

But when I take it to my father in laws it wont connect , he has sky internet but his router is upstairs so I have used a power line adapter and connect it with a Ethernet cable. it shows http error when I try to update it and the channels are scrambled . please can you help

Think he's best starting by checking if the sky Shields still on his router if so turn it off and see if it works
 
Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me please.

I'm trying to upgrade by network to either update my firmware or my channel list as I'm missing some channels and seller has told me I must do this. 90% of the channels are there but it does seem like it needs a channel update as it's still got sky movies Christmas lol

My problem is, is that when I select upgrade by network, it comes up with HTTP protocol and I select start them get download failed? It never use to do this and it would usually just bring up the options to update automatically!

Any help would be very much appreciated as once I'm again I'm at a loss with this and have no idea, and I kind of need/want my sport channels (especially Sky Sports News)

Also I don't have a USB to do a channel update that way so ideally I'm looking for a way to solve this via the box?
