VM ROI

More likely that the cards were disabled as not at the specified address of card holder. This is nothing new with Virmin but maybe something that they are looking at more often now.

Got that message from a supplier: "We have temporarily closed our virgin media Ireland server in order to
protect out remaining cards. Virgin media have somehow managed to see
card details from lines . So far virgin uk is not effected.

I dont think its the line in question but any hidden data could be found using correct methods,eg

" loads of porn on pc i see a raid in progress so delete it all "=there are ways of retrieving data even when hidden.

They have many ways of working stuff like this out.

For example the movie makers have started putting the most suitable identifiers into individual digital copies of movies released to cinemas and pre release dvd's etc so they can track if where a pirated version comes from.

Virgin could very well have done something similar and over time zoned in on individual cards.

I have received a message from our server friend -

Hi
It is with regret that Vm eire have ceased my operation

They can read the card numbers

So this is a massive advantage they have

They just turn off account and refuse to supply the premises

This is not a system that works

They can only see this off purchased lines

It makes no difference where cards are located

It could be run in a private group but you need to trust all in this group

Some guys will continue but the second a Vm rep gets there claws on the line it's bang gone

I have iptv service which is not tracable

But alas can't run virgin service in eire unfortunately

Cheers

I don't know if this stacks up or not, but that is what he is saying.
Time to make a decision, find a new one, or hold off and see if more go off.
God knows they are expensive enough without only getting a month or so out of them.
