A Buyers Guide To The Best Box

The H2H would be okay but only one tuner. It depends on how much you want to spend.
The Xtrend 8500 with 2 cable tuners is about £185.
Octagon SF4008 with 2 cable tuners is just over £200.
The Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 PLUS is £138
 
Hi everyone, my dads looking to upgrade from zgemma h1 any recommendations? also is it worth getting a motorised dish? and finally....... will we ever receive 4k channels in the near future? sorry to bombard with all the questions :)

Had Andriod Kodi (version14) box. Bit outdated so need a fresh start that's doesn't break the bank.
Only need it for films and tv as openbox works well for sport.
Suggestions and advice needed please.
what box? Where to purchase
how do I get packs/gifts etc needed. is subscription required?
have internet 80 mb BT and Sat dish.
easy setup for a novice.
Any other guidance welcome.

I've chose wetek play 2 since i was looking for a good android device with DVB.

Wetek has dvb and also netflix fullhd.
It also has 4k@60 and 10 bit for movies and tvshows.
Licences for dts and dolby
Kodi/libreelec to connect my nas and have my content on only one device.
regular updates and good community forum

The H2S is a satellite receiver, you cannot use it for cables services.
You need a dedicated cable receiver. There's plenty About.

Looking at a cable setup at the moment and after some research have narrowed down to 2 boxes each with dual cable tuners.

OCTAGON SF4008
Mutant HD51

Anyone have any experience or recommendations on these models?

Pretty much the same spec, order it pre flashed with OpenVix
you will need to run your line with Oscam as they are 4K boxes.

Remote control on the Mutants are a bit cheap and nasty, don't know about the Octagon

You can use this for the rest

Hello All have being offered a ZGEMMA H5.2S SATELLITE BOX DUAL CORE TWIN TUNER is it any good for both sly and vm
 
My father in-law as got an Amiko box connected to sky but because all the sports channels have gone dark I need to look for a new box for him, what would you reccomend ? I have a Zgemma H2 myself
 
I have a Vu+ Zero and want to go cable can I just use the USB cable tuner for £50 for this? Is it any good? Or better to get a cable box to begin with? I don't want to spend too much
