Freezing problems

i got 2 vm lines from different sources.... using MGcamd

vm line 1 freezes on discovery channels syfy fox fox hd but not on movies or sport channels had this line a few months now
vm line 2 not seen it freeze at all on any channels since getting it got this a few week ago...

so line 1 is provider thats crap....

Thats why i think its best to stay on short subs for awhile at least , seems to be more and more providers popping up now, although i am happy with my cable and sat provider at present.

Watching Spiderman on Sky Movies was terrible this afternoon. Freezing every few minutes. OSCAM not reporting any errors, but curiously if I switched to MGCAMD and looked at the log files I see the following just as the video freezes:-

[mg0] -> ECM to newcamd xx.xx.xx:xxxx

The entries stating "[mg0] WARNING, both cws changed !" tie in exactly when the video freezes. I have tested this theory several times this afternoon and a video freeze is always accompanied with the "cws changed" warning message. So the question is what are these warnings and why are they clearly upsetting MGCAMD and OSCAM and CCAM?

I’ve now lost all channels except the usual 1-5 SD.
Provider has said they are aware of the issue and trying to fix.

Still no word from my supplier on any fix. Not responded since his initial email on Monday.
I presume he’s busy. Not worried yet as I’ve been with him a number of years and he’s always been great.
Anyone having similar problems of a complete line failure?

Yeah same here and no real pattern to the problems etc only thing i noticed is on the channels that do glitcha the signal strength and quality drop all of a sudden :rolleyes:

Evening all

Just to confirm I'm the same as you guys. Was terrible for a few days now everything down. Have been with the same person for a couple of years and have just e-mailed to see whats what.

I see the same signal level drop that you describe when the freezing occurs on a previously floorless line. I also have an IPTV line from the same provider and have seen the freezing on his virgin fed Iptv channels, especially Sky Sports News HD

Changed to another provider yesterday afternoon, & haven't had a single freeze since. Not only that...the few remaining Sat chans are back. Bonus lol
